Reflection on drawing basic shapes using pencil (210708)

Dear students,

I will need you to a in-depth reflection of the lessons conducted for sketching fo basic shapes using the pencil. A in-depth reflection ( a paragraph of about 8 -10 lines) is required to help us understand your learning needs better and make necesarry improvements in subsequent lessons.

Make use use the following questions as a guidelines in your reflection.

1) What have I learnt from the lessons?
2) With the skill I have pick up, am i more confident in drawing basic shapes ?
3) Which shape is difficult to draw? Why is it difficult to draw?
4) Do you feel that peer teaching will help you improve your drawing?
5) Do you feel that with the teacher guiding you individually, it will help you improve your drawing ?
6) Do you feel that by looking at your fellow classmates drawing, it will help you improve your drawing?

To do your reflection, you just need to leave a comment.
Some points to take note:
1) Please leave your full name and class after writing your reflection.
2) Do not comment on your fellow classmate comments. Respect your fellow classmate comments
3) Do not type any obscene or vulgar comments or pictures.

I have learnt alot of things such as using construction line to a lot of different shape.Shapes such as cones and a lot more shapes which i have learnt during lesson. With all the skills i have pick up in class i feel more confident when drawing shapes now.I personaly think that darwing a cone is more difficult cause need to combine three cube together for the construction line.I feel that peer teaching sometimes is quite a good way to improve my drawings. As i can comunicate better with my peers.Sometimes as the teacher teach individually is quite boring but my drawins will be improve as i know better.I also think that by looking my classmates draw i can know better as sometimes maybe i miss out some points in drawing.

I have learnt a lot of things such using construction lines to draw 3D shapes like cones and spheres. I feel more confident in drawing 3D shapes. The most difficult shape to draw is the cone, because it is quite difficult to get the correct proportion. I think peer teaching would be good as we can relate better. If there is a teacher to guide me, i think i would improve more as move on to each step. By looking to my friend's drawing, i would be able to refer on what i can improve on my own.

I have learnt to draw better with the help of construction lines.I gained confidence in drawing basic shapes and its getting easier for me with more practice. I find drawing of cones and spheres harder as drawing a circle or oval isnt easy. Peer teaching may not be so good as my peers are new to drawing shapes too. With the teachers guide Im sure I can make improvements in my drawings. By lookign at my classmates drawings you can learn how to improve in your weak points and also learn from their mistakes.

I learnt how to draw 3D shapes using construction lines. The shapes i learnt are cone sphere cube. I feel more confident after the varios lessons as i hardly draw 3D shapes. I feel that drawing a cone is much difficult as it is hard to draw the base and narrow a point to the top. Although the steps are the 3 cubiod i find it difficult as there are no additional tools to draw it. I feel that peer teaching is a very good way to improve on all the drawings. Teaching as a class is much better then individual as learning alone does not intrest me at all. I feel that learning with friends could imprve the productivity. I feel that my friends drawing are much better then mine and i have to improve on it if i want to exel in DT. My classmates are paying attention and i can understand by comparing both our drawings and see what have i miss out.

I have learnt how to draw 3D shapes by using construction lines.By using construction lines,it guided me to getting the correct shape and proportion.Shapes like cones, cylinder, sphere are some of the examples i have been taught how to draw during lesson time. With all the skill i have picked up in class,i feel more confident when drawing 3D shapes now.I find the cone shape more difficult to draw because drawing the oval and getting the proportion right was not easy.I feel that peer teaching will help me to improve my drawing as i can learn from my peer's stronger points, however with the teacher's guidance,it make learning more fast and efficient.I feel that by refering to my peer's drawing,it do helps a little because at times i might miss out some points in my drawing.

For me , i've learn alot of things from the previous lessons that i've attended like using construction lines to construct different shapes and patterns . With the skill i've picked up , i am definitely more confident in drawing basic shapes like cube , cuboid etc with the use of basic construction lines . Personally , i think that drawing a cone is difficult for me as it requires lots of basic construction lines . The moment you draw the construction lines wrongly , the cone will be out of shape . Peer teaching , for me , will somehow improve my drawing but basically , i think a teacher guiding me individually will improve my drawing more as a teacher is much more experieced and have the skill to teach us . Also , by looking at my fellow classmates drawing , would definitely help me improve my drawing as we can refer to each other's work for reference and at the same time , check for mistakes you've made and learn from the mistakes .

I have learnt how to draw 3D shapes from the lessons.Using this skill,I am more confident in drawing now.The most difficult shapes for me to draw is the sphere and cone. The problem is that I cannot make the sphere look round and the cone takes 3 cubes of different sizes to form a cone.I also need to improve on gently sketching as sometimes i grip the pencil very hard.I feel that peer teaching will help improve my drawing as I can pick up some pointers to improve.I also think that the teachers teaching us individually will help us. With the help of construction lines,I have made slight improvements to my drawing. When applying what i have been taught in class, i feel more confident. Despite any improvements,i feel that i need more pratice as my drawing is still considered way below the expected standards. I personally feel that cone would be the hardest that i've drawn so far. I certainly hope that as time passes i would be able to give a much satisfactory sketch.

The recent lessons have become more interesting as we've started on sketching of basic shapes . Construction lines have been introduced , and despite my initial uneasiness , i now feel the usefulness of this tool . It doesn't require artistic talent whatsoever , just purely drawing lines . The end product , surprisingly , turns out fine . The lessons have proved to be a confidence booster for many of my peers , including myself . It has certainly assisted many of us significantly , especially in terms of sketching out those circular shapes like spheres and cones and objects of such . The teachers have also mentioned about Tablet PCs as we make do with our pencils and papers currently , and it really seems like a difficult skill to master the Tablet PC . Despite it being applicable until Polytechnic , it requires a whole lot of effort and time to learn a new software .

I have learn how to use construction lines to draw the shapes that I want.Drawing with constructon lines needs a lot of practice to make the shape look more real.I know that I could still improve on my drawings.Using construction lines to draw can be difficult for me sometimes but it does help me to align my lines and make my drawings look neater.I know that i made some mistakes during those lessons and from there I try to correct it after the teacher's guiding.I hope with all these lessons it will gradually help to improve my drawings.
